Provo River Fauna

So, on Sunday afternoon/evening Erin and I drove up to the Provo Canyon to go on a hike. Well, more of a walk than a hike, since the Provo River Trail is paved and basically a glorified sidewalk. Anyways, we were walking along, along the bank of the Provo River, and all of a sudden, Erin stops. "Look!" she exclaimed, as she pointed to the opposite bank. And lo and behold, there was a beaver! He was sitting on the bank, chewing off a reed. Then, he got in the water with the reed in his mouth, and swam upstream a couple yards and put the reed in the dam he was making! Then he swam back and did it again. It was awesome to see--I've never seen a beaver before that I can remember. It reminded me of the He-Beaver from the Chronicles of Narnia. We watched for a couple minutes and then he swam away and disappeared. It was really cool.
